How to Change Oil on Ford F-250

Needed Materials:

  • Engine oil with SAE 5W-30 viscosity
  • Jack
  • Jack stands
  • Drain pan
  • 16-millimeter socket

Getting Started:

  1. Park your Ford F-250 on a leveled ground and engage the parking brake.
  2. Jack the front end of the vehicle and place jack stands for support
  3. Locate the oil drain plug. It is located on the front middle and there is an oil filter right next to it.
  4. Remove the oil drain plug and place the drain pan for the old oil to leak into
  5. Make sure that your drain pan is big because the F-250 holds around 14 quarts of oil
  6. Once leaked, reinstall the oil bolt and tighten it
