How to Change Oil on Ford Ranger

Materials Needed:

  • Drain pan
  • 13-millimeter socket
  • Jack
  • Jack stands

Get Started:

  1. Park your Ford Ranger on a leveled ground and engage the parking brakes.
  2. Wait for 10-15 minutes until your vehicle is cooled down.
  3. Jack the front end of the vehicle to gain access to the drain bolt.
  4. Place your Ford Ranger on jack stands for safety.
  5. Get underneath the vehicle and locate the oil drain bolt. It is located in the front middle side of the vehicle.
  6. Remove the drain bolt and place the drain pan. Allow the old oil to drain completely.
  7. Reinstall the drain plug.
